The 2007 interim NCAR redeisgn.
In 2006, NCAR had a one-page website with outdated "news items" occasionally posted manually, that merely linked off to other subsites within its heirarchy.
I was hired as the NCAR Web Producer that year to come up with a redevelopment plan to redesign the NCAR parent site and to coordinate the five NCAR laboratory websites with the main site architecturally and visually.
I came up with a 4-phase/2-year redevelopment plan that would culminate in 2009 with a Drupal-based organization-wide effort, but to address the immediate (early 2007) need I brought together a team of web developers and stakeholders and we released this version using existing databased content where possible to keep information relevant.
This was the first time in this organization's history that NCAR and it's subsidiary units had every had one cohesive visual and architectural web identity and it was very well-received.
